What does Brand Identity show?
See how AI understands your brand and where its identity needs work. Your prompt results remain available while Brand Identity runs independently.
How is friction AI different from SEO tools?
SEO tools track how your website ranks in traditional search results. friction AI tracks how AI answer engines - ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews - describe, recommend, and position your brand in conversational responses. These are different systems with different signals. An SEO tool can't tell you whether ChatGPT recommends your competitor when someone asks a buying question. friction AI can.
How quickly will I see results?
Prompt analysis starts after setup. Your results become available as processing completes; Brand Identity runs independently.
What does Improve show me?
Improve turns analysis into prioritized recommendations across the surfaces that affect AI recommendations. It highlights what to fix and lets you refresh recommendations after you make changes.
What are Shopping Prompts?
Shopping Prompts track how AI answers shopping and buying questions - like "what's the best [product] for [use case]" or "compare [brand] vs [competitor]". They show whether AI recommends your products, which e-commerce sites it sends buyers to, and how you rank in purchase conversations. Available on Growth plans and above.
How do A/B prompt experiments work?
You write two sets of prompts: a control group (your current positioning) and a test group (the change you want to try). You pick which AI engine to test on. friction AI runs both sets every night and measures which positioning gets your brand mentioned more - tracking visibility lift with statistical significance so you know when a winner is real, not noise. Available on Professional plans and above.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Change your plan anytime through the billing portal. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
